Ice transitioning to water in gutter
I was drawn to the melting water in the street gutter while on a walk yesterday morning.  Ever since I was a kid the flowing water and the natural dams that formed along the side of the street intrigued me.  As a boy I felt compelled to blast open those dams with my rubber rain boots.  Sadly I didn't find any dams that needed exploding on my walk, but I did spot some miniature water falls, developed from layers of freezing water along the roadside.
