Spring pictures from the park

Lots of beauty out and around Bassett Creek Park after a very long winter.  One surprise was seeing a muskrat along the shore.  It was all curled up in a ball when I first spotted it.  Then as I got nearer it started to slowly move around.  Good thing I wasn't a predator or it would have been breakfast ;-)

Also pictured are a couple of female birds; a Cardinal and Red-winged Blackbird.  Their more flashy male counterparts tend to get most of the attention. I think that these female birds are also quite attractive.
