If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning, torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day... EB White

27 years and one new day
Last night I enjoyed a farewell party for my 27 years of service to Kinship's mentoring program. It was a joy to see so many people who I was blessed to work with over the years in various capacities; board members, staff, volunteers, donors, etc. Lots of great memories.
I shared a story from earlier in the day when I was frustrated with my chainsaw's ability to cut through some ash. Turned out all it needed was a newly sharpened chain. I'm thinking this is a good time for me to take time out for sharpening.
It was a gorgeous morning in the park with the sun rising up over the fog. Another new day!
