Presidential challenge

..."We want our children to live in an America that isn’t burdened by debt, that isn’t weakened up by inequality, that isn’t threatened by the destructive power of a warming planet." ...

It was encouraging for me to see that President Obama was reelected for another term. I hope that our politicians are willing to pull together for the common good.  As the president noted, growing income inequality, climate change and national debt are huge challenges that we must collectively address.

For elected leaders to be effective in the coming term compromise must be viewed as a sign of strength. Nice to see an article in this morning's StarTribune indicating that President Obama and the Republicans are looking forward to working together to fix the financial crisis that is looming (Obama, GOP call for compromise).
