Another use for buckthorn

In addition to firewood I found another use for buckthorn, that invasive species of shrub that I, along with so many, despise.... coasters!

I cut some small pieces up with a table saw and glued them to felt.  As you can see, they worked great for coasters. Now that's a use of buckthorn I can drink to!
