It was 4:58 that a lone cardinal first sang out in our neighborhood. His/her response was stone silence. However at 5:14 a cardinal sang again and a chorus ensued. Whether that bird got a worm or not, I've got no idea. It was too dark outside to see much of anything.
If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning, torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day... EB White

Early bird: 4:58 this morning
It was 4:58 that a lone cardinal first sang out in our neighborhood. His/her response was stone silence. However at 5:14 a cardinal sang again and a chorus ensued. Whether that bird got a worm or not, I've got no idea. It was too dark outside to see much of anything.
