Winter leaves

I went outside yesterday to explore subject matter which might be interesting to photograph.  The few leaves that were randomly scattered on top of the snow seemed to shout out for a portrait.

The leaves have been changing colors and are beginning to fall.  It is amazing to see the brilliant colors and the wide range of shades of red and yellow.

Strong winds have brought in cooler temperatures.  I've been working on putting a layer of polypropylene on my raised-bed cloches.  It is a bit awkward trying to retrofit one of the garden beds since we've got a giant tomato plant that outgrew the cloche.

Spring leaves

Singing Goldfinch

A Goldfinch was singing up a storm atop of a cherry tree this morning.

Earlier I was just about knocked off my feet by the stunning beauty of tree leaves. What elegance in their varying sizes and shades. This was accentuated with a touch of dew.
