Shap shots from visit to Honolulu Hawaii

Rainbow Shower tree

I took a brief trip to Honolulu, Hawaii.  My wife and daughter are attending a STARTALK Chinese language camp housed at the University of Hawaii - Manoa, on the island of Oahu.  While they were in class I hiked around the campus and into the surrounding hills.  As you might imagine it was a lush tropical environment, considerably different than Minnesota.

It was fascinating to witness the wildly different birds, animals, plants and trees.  Seems that most all of the trees had blossoms.

So, to kick off a series of pictures I'll focus on the trees, and then move on to plants, animals and birds.
