Savoring Servant

If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning, torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day... EB White

About Me

My photo
Dan Johnson
I enjoy noticing beauty in my surroundings. I'm fortunate to live across from a large park, where I start my day walking with a friend, and quite often a camera. My primary career was directing a nonprofit mentoring program, Kinship of Greater Minneapolis. I've also worked with volunteers at a couple of food banks; The Food Group and Second Harvest Heartland. I biked into work throughout the summer months, and was a running commuter during the colder months. Now I'm officially retired. I'm a passionate runner, enjoying road races and cross country meets in the fall. I've matured to the "Senior Grand Master" status (ages 60 and up). My spiritual community resides at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church, which is in walking distance from my home.
